In the last episode, we learned the main reason behind Maria’s reluctance to end her interactions with Jason. We also learned how the failure in honoring her agreement for the 30-day grace period reflected her desire to keep Jason in her life as a second partner post the infidelity. This desire conflicts with the type of relationship model that Ryan signed up for and expects of Maria which is based on monogamy, hence the beginning of a potential impasse between the two.
