In the last episode, we saw how Jason helped Maria realize that she has needs that are not being met by Ryan. The theme of those needs was centered around what Maria perceives as total acceptance of how she is without any judgment, or permission to not be okay all the time all. We also saw how Jason’s role shifted from helping her make those discoveries about herself into fulfilling those needs and exploring a deeper relationship which was illustrated by the non-sexual sub-agreement they made with one another, which can be seen as a rationalization for justifying infidelity behavior.
In this episode, we will learn about the circumstances that facilitated the discovery of the true nature of the relationship between Maria and Jason. We will also see how that discovery was handled by Ryan.
